Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Health Sector Enterprises in the Salento Region (30 March 2026)
🌟 We are pleased to announce that on 30 March 2026, the event “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Health Sector Enterprises in the Salento Region” was successfully held at the Sala Urso of the Lecce Chamber of Commerce. The event was organised by the Punto Impresa Digitale (PID) of the Lecce Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Cluster SMILE, within the framework of the DANTE EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) project 🌟
The initiative — among the first of its kind in Puglia to feature androids and robots operated by artificial intelligence systems in this specific domain — provided a concrete opportunity to introduce local enterprises to advanced robotics technologies with applications in the healthcare and socio-assistential sectors 🤖
Following the institutional opening remarks, Eng. Fedele Bonifazi and Dr. Pietro Siciliano presented the DANTE project and the European EDIH network, paving the way for the contributions of Prof. Mario Bochicchio and Prof. Antonella Longo, who offered an in-depth exploration of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence applications for Salento-based enterprises operating in the health sector. The subsequent live demonstration session showcased the bipedal robot Unitree G1 and the quadrupedal Unitree Go2, offering attendees the unique opportunity to interact with these technologies in real time 💡
Events of this nature are instrumental in illustrating how digital innovation and the services provided by DANTE EDIH, in support of the digital transition of both enterprises and Public Administrations, can make a tangible contribution to the well-being of citizens and to the modernisation of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
